Contract and Grant Analyst 2 Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 23178162 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $50,000 - $98,600 Position Information Under the general direction of the Financial & Administrative Officer for the Departments of Sociology and Anthropology, administer and coordinate complex fiscal budgeting and administration enabling the departments to maintain fiscal integrity and internal controls. Perform high-level budget/resource analyses and prepare monthly financial reports for principal investigators (PI) and administration, utilizing robust analytical tools. Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: pre- and post-award grant administration. Maintain strong internal controls. Respond to changing needs for financial reports and ad hoc information for Principal Investigators, Chairperson, and administration. Prepare agency-specific multi-year budgets and coordinate submission of contract and grant proposals for multiple agencies. Additionally provides policy interpretation, critical analysis, and administrative support for all aspects of temporary academic personnel administration. Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Graduation from college with a major in accounting, business administration, economics, statistics, educational administration, political science, or an allied field, and two years of experience in administrative analysis or operations research; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to perform moderately complex financial analysis and customized reporting.
Ability to manage a high volume of transactions.
Maintains current knowledge of compliance regulations in all areas of research administration.
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, sponsor and institutional regulations, policies, and guidelines.
Knowledge of applicable compliance requirements related to use of human or animal subjects in research, financial conflict of interest, biosafety, etc.
Writing skils to draft persuasive text for variety of audiences.
Demonstrated competence in the use of spreadsheet and database software in financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports.
Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting, fiscal and reporting principles.
