Human Factors Engineer
Salary: US$50 - US$67 per hour + competitive
Role - Human Factors Engineer
Location - St. Paul office, with some flexibility to work from home. This is an in-person office position.
Contract Length - 12 months initially but these are long term projects that could turn into an FTE or extended contract.
Pay - Flexible depending on skills and years of experience
Start Date - ASAP
Position Responsibilities:
* Responsible for directing and coordinating all activities necessary to complete Human Factors engineering projects. Activities include, but are not limited to:
o Conducting ethnographic user research to identify user needs
o Translating user needs to requirements and product design concepts
o Developing prototypes to explore and validate product design concepts
o Performing workflow, task and use error analyses
o Conducting Formative Usability testing
o Conducting Summative Validation testing
Education Requirements:
* M.S. degree in Human Factors Engineering, Design, Cognitive Psychology, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction or a related discipline.
* Minimum 3+ yearsof relevant Human Factors/Usability engineering experience in hardware-software systems product development.
Your Preferred Qualifications and Education:
* Ph.D. degree in one of the above disciplines.
* Working knowledge of cardiac electrophysiology.
* Working knowledge of Human Factors/Usability Engineering regulatory standards.
