Summary:
Works on research programs, including but not limited to federally-funded grants, clinical trials, and research projects that will be investigating issues in Summa Center for Clinical Trials. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for: recruitment of patients at Summa Health System; coordinate all record keeping related to the project; works closely with principal investigators and the research team to manage day-to-day project operations.

Formal Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a health or social science related field such as integrated health studies, health education, psychology, medical anthropology, public health, or sociology
- Master\u2019s degree preferred

Experience and Training Required:
- Experience in working with patients and personnel in healthcare
- Experience in research project coordination, recruitment, and data collection preferred

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing sufficient to prepare reports for publication
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with research team members, students, project site staff, and subjects
- Ability to work effectively and comfortably with patients
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
