Postdoctoral Research Associate and Lecturer, Bioethics Program

The University of Virginia invites applications for a one-year postdoctoral appointment in the Bioethics Program starting August 25, 2021, through May 24, 2022. We are seeking applicants trained in critical bioethics, continental philosophical ethics, the anthropology of ethics, medical anthropology with a focus on ethics, or similar fields. The position may be renewed for a second year, based on performance and the availability of funds. The successful candidate will teach one course in the fall and two courses in the spring, with the balance of duties comprised of research on one's own project, and service to the Bioethics Program. 

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in hand in bioethics, anthropology, philosophy or related fields by the start date.  

Review of applications will begin June 9, 2021, and will continue until the position is filled. Interviews with finalists will be conducted over Zoom.
